2016 Kia Sportage vs 2017 Kia Sportage
Each year car makers come out with new models of their current vehicles, Kia included. When you're shopping for a new car, being able to see the difference between the models years is helpful in figuring out which model better suits your purposes and budget as often times a new model year is more expensive but has similar features. However, that is not the case with the 2016 Kia Sportage vs 2017 Kia Sportage. These model years have similar starting MSRP's but completely different features.
In the 2017 Sportage there is a greater availability of features on lower trim levels, each feature being enhanced from the previous model as well. Looking specifically at Kia UVO eService infotainment system, on the 2016 Sportage the system is optional on the EX, standard on the SX but not even available on the LX trim. Upgrading to the 2017 model, drivers have UVO eServices as an option on the LX trim and a standard feature on the EX and SX. For the 2017 Sportage the system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto unlike the 2016 system.
Enhanced Performance and Style in the 2017 Sportage
While both the 2016 Sportage and the 2017 Sportage offer the Dynamax all-wheel drive system on every trim level, the 2017 Sportage takes style one step further and incorporates a unique front fascia for AWD equipped models. On the 2017 model drivers can also enjoy style features such as satin chrome accents and an SX exclusive grille design not available on the 2016 Sportage.
